Custom Laser Etching & Gun Part Engraving

Permanent, craftsman-quality engraving powered by a professional MOPA fiber laser — built for gun owners who take pride in the details.

ForgeMark Industries at Pete’s Guns and Stuff offers professional laser etching and engraving services for firearms parts, accessories, and keepsakes using a MOPA fiber laser — the same class of equipment used by serious production shops and custom builders. Unlike entry-level diode or CO₂ lasers, a MOPA fiber laser delivers precise, permanent grayscale marking on steel, aluminum, titanium, and anodized surfaces without removing structural material or compromising coatings. The result is a crisp, durable mark that won’t peel, fade, or wear under normal use. Whether you’re personalizing a build, commemorating a family heirloom, or adding decorative detail to a custom part, every piece that comes through our shop is treated with the same care and attention you’d expect from a licensed, detail-obsessed craftsman.

What We Etch

Customer-Supplied Non-Serialized Parts & Accessories — We work with customer-owned parts that are not serialized receivers or regulated frames — no transfer required, no FFL paperwork triggered. - Handgun slides (non-serialized) - Rifle upper receivers (non-serialized ARs and similar) - Magazine bodies and base pads - Handguards, rail covers, and foregrips - Muzzle devices, compensators, and barrel shrouds - Optic bodies and scope rings - Knife blades, multi-tools, and EDC gear

Custom Firearm Decoration & Personalization — Add tasteful, permanent decorative marking to your build — unit insignia, logos, patterns, or personal touches that make a firearm distinctly yours. - Military unit crests and service branch insignia - Custom maker’s marks and builder logos (non-regulatory) - Geometric patterns, stippling overlays, and decorative borders - Club, organization, or team branding - Limited-run custom build identifiers

Memorial, Heritage & Tribute Marking — Preserve a legacy in steel — memorial engravings that honor service members, family heirlooms passed down through generations, or tribute pieces built to last a lifetime. - Name, dates, and rank tributes for fallen service members or veterans - Family crest and heritage markings on heirloom firearms - “In memory of” inscriptions on stocks, plates, or receivers (non-serialized) - Commemorative build plaques and display pieces - Anniversary or retirement gift personalization

About the Finish

A NOTE ON COLORED & RAINBOW EFFECTS: You may have seen laser-engraved firearm parts with striking gold, blue, or multi-color finishes. To be clear about what our laser does and does not do — our MOPA fiber laser produces high-resolution grayscale marks. It does not generate color on its own. The vibrant colors you see on some engraved pieces come from the substrate itself: anodized aluminum, Cerakoted surfaces, or heat-colored (rainbow) stainless steel that was pre-treated before engraving. When our laser etches those surfaces, it removes or alters the colored layer to reveal crisp grayscale or contrasting detail beneath. If your part already has a colored finish, the laser can create beautiful contrast. If your part has a standard matte or blued finish, the result will be a precise, permanent grayscale mark. We’ll always tell you what to expect based on your specific part — no surprises.
